- Irish Blessings & Irish Ornament - Michael's (on sale and used a coupon)
- Foam Shamrock - bought years ago as a kit
I love to find ways to decorate on a budget, re-purpose things (with help from my dad - he's got the power tools), and make gifts for family and friends. Thanks also to fellow Bloggers, Etsy, and Pinterest I have been inspired by those that share their talents and ideas, so I want to "pay it forward". I am just getting started so it is bare bones right now.

St. Patty's Decor
I LOVE decorating for the holidays/seasons. I am part Irish so I have to do a bit O'Decorating to celebrate!!!
Cheap Valentine's Garden Flag
I wanted a Valentine's garden flag, but didn't want to spend any more money on decorations. My mom had some extra painter's tarp (bought at Big Lots) and we measured one of my current garden flags and cut it to size. I used Fabri-Tac to create the pocket so the flag could slip onto the holder. I used acrylic paint to paint the heart, which I drew on with a pencil first. The edges are frayed a bit to make it look "natural" and I used a little bit of Fabri-Tac lightly wiped on the edges to keep it from fraying more.
Burlap Wreath
I crafted this burlap wreath after I saw it on Pinterest (click here to see the blog & instructions). It was easy to make...love it. I had to go to Hobby Lobby to get the burlap. Jo-Ann Fabrics cannot keep it in.
Christmas Mantle
I got tired of the old "Wreath" over the mantle for Christmas. I looked around and saw an idea that showed a "present" hanging over the mantle. I have a picture on a canvas that normally hangs over the mantle, so I just bought some shiny, pretty paper and wrapped the picture!!!!!!

Rudolph Subway Art
I made this for my Christmas decor. I was tired of finding overpriced decor that was not unique. So I started to search Etsy. I love reindeer, especially Rudolph. I found Subway Art by Periwinklepixies on Etsy. I unfortunately did not take step by step pictures, but here is what I did.
- Purchased the file and printed it in color on regular paper
- Cut away the plain white edges
- Plain white canvas (from a 3 pack bought at Big Lots)
- Painted canvas red (few coats) and let dry
- Traced circles with a pencil using a top from bottled water
- Filled the circles in with green paint (few coats) and let dry
- Spread modge podge on top of the fully dried canvas and placed the subway art in the middle of the canvas (I just eyeballed it)
- After everything dried I spread another coat of modge podge on top of the paper and over the rest of the canvas
- Glued grograin ribbon that matched the dots (green with white dots) around the edge to finish the edges off
- Added the bow at the top and viola....I had a one of a kind decoration!!!!!!!
